One Page At a Time–A Highly Personal Device

{When I show my journal pages on this blog, I usually just throw them all in one post with a brief description.  I’ve decided to occasionally showcase an individual page in a new series called One Page At a Time.  I will also provide a prompt if you’d like to create a similar page in your journal.}

Even though I have an excellent digital SLR camera, I tend to take most of my pictures these days with my phone.  And every so often I upload them all to my computer and browse through them all.  There’s something magical about phone pictures–they show a tiny glimpse at who you really are.  My phone is filled with so many bits of my daily life–the food I eat, screen-caps of things that inspire me on the web, places I’ve been, even snapshots of the train that stops me on the way to work.  And several self-portraits.  I chose five of my favorite, printed them with my Pogo printer, and added them to my journal.  Sure, this page is messy, but it’s ME!

This week’s prompt is to get your pics off your phone and onto your page!  Don’t worry about making your page look like a perfect scrapbook, either.  Just throw down some paint, a little bit of decorative paper or tape, and then add your photos.  Take time to write captions for your pics as well.  I hope you play along!  I will probably start a Flickr group for One Page at a Time if I can get others to join me.
