Product Testers Wanted–A Journal Give-Away

April 24, 2010

Hey, everyone.  I’ve been making journals!

My orignal idea was to make several and sell them on Etsy, but then I had a giant brainstorm!  I want to start a custom art journal store!  Customers would be able to choose the size and cover design and would have several paper options.  The journals in the photo above have 20 sheets of mixed media paper with 10 sheets of patterned scrapbooking paper and found papers mixed in.

Before I sell the product, I’d like some feedback.  So, here is the fun part:  I’m going to give away two custom-made journals!  Leave a comment below and enter to win a free journal that’s designed by you!  There is one little thing, though.  I really want to give the journals to someone who will use them as an art journal, and who is willing to review the journals and allow me to post the review on my blog.  (So, please do not enter if you are not willing to follow those requirements).

On Friday, I’ll choose two winners at random.  One will get an 8×8 journal and the other will get an 8.5×11 journal (I get to choose the size this time, sorry).  After the drawing, I’ll send the winners an order form and we can get started designing and making journals.  This is going to be fun!

This is such a great idea. I make my own journals but not never worked in a spiral bound before. It would be great testing material for me and will gladly give the feedback you need.

    Hey Spooky,
Your Journals look great, Id love to test one. I live in Australia and it is so hard to get decent journals over here. Sure you can get blank journals but not patterened on the inside (sounds irrisistable).
    Yellow Hugs to you

That would be so much fun! I’ve been using a plain white 8.5 by 11 sketchbook, but sometimes I find it intimidating to work on those blank white pages. It all seems so serious! Anyway, so I’ll just sit here, crossing my fingers. 🙂

Count me in! I’d love to try this out, and I’d be more than happy to leave a great review! 😉

What an awesome idea. Art Journaling is something that I have recently begun to explore. It can be hard to get started sometimes, but once I get going it’s tons of fun. So if you don’t mind having a ‘newbie’ take a crack at it I would absolutely love to win one of the journals.

Your blog is an awesome source of inspiration!

Hey, thanks for the link in the previous post! 🙂 I think this sounds like a great idea, making custom journals for people! I hope you sell lots of them when you start out!

I learned about your site on Twitter andI love your journals. I’ve been doing some art journaling (not enough) and I think having a customized journal would be inspiring. How creative you are to think about designing these. All the best in starting your new venture.

I journal everyday (drawing and collage) and would love to test your beautiful journal! I really enjoy your blog!

    Oooo!

    Those are beautiful.
Came across this on Twitter and I just happen to be a compulsive art journalist who is just about due for a new journal. I’m pretty hard on my journals. (Not that I treat them badly.) I just can’t seem to find a binding that doesn’t end up taped with pages falling out. Someone recently told me I should check out hand bound books. So I’d LOVE to give yours a go and give you some feedback. ❤

    Best of luck with this!

    Always, Julie
